Jimi Hendrix Poster

Jimi Hendrix by Kubah

For his typography class, Kubah had to make by hand a poster that represented a decade of his choosing, so he chose the late 60s.The type had to represent the era as well. It was stapled to a bainbridge board.
The afro says “Jimi Hendrix experience”

The words surrounding Hendrix’s face say “When I was a little boy, I believed that if you put a tooth under your pillow, a fairy would come in the night and take away the tooth and leave a dime. Now, I believed in myself more than anything.”

The bubbles say “one night only” on the left and  “Friday may 10th” on the right.

Between the bubbles it says “independence hall”.
